Seohee YouTitle: Life Sciences and Research Tools Licensing Analyst
Seohee collaborates with researchers in the life sciences to protect intellectual property and technology licensing. She focuses on building a robust portfolio of research tools for licensing and to create an efficient mechanism for making it broadly available to the research community.
Previously, she worked as a scientist at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Through this position, she gained significant experience in various stages of both small and large molecule drug development. She served as a lead-preclinical scientist in the selection of an NME candidate and successfully led it to NME nomination. She also co-led a New Target Investigation project and successfully advanced it to Lead Optimization stage. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Research Investigator and received her post-doctoral training at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
She holds a Ph. D. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Korea University. She is a registered dietitian with the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare.
