Joohee KimTitle: Associate Director of Licensing, Physical Sciences & Engineering
Joohee collaborates with faculty and researchers from departments in the College of Engineering to protect and commercialize intellectual properties developed at the University of Michigan.
Prior to joining the Office of Technology Transfer, Joohee worked in various R&D roles both in academia and industry mainly in semiconductor area. Through his positions in Samsung, NTSI, Hynix, TF SolarPower and Cyclos, Joohee has gained significant experience in evaluating technology and licensing.
Joohee holds a BS and an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
Virtual Monthly Office Hours
Joohee holds office hours on the first Wednesday of the month from 2 – 3 pm via ZOOM. The office hours are held for U-M faculty, staff, and students who might be interested in learning about topics related to technology commercialization including patents, licensing, and startups.
