Jodie RichardsonTitle: Manager, Business Process Optimization
Jodie joined U-M Tech Transfer in 2016 and currently serves as a Manager, Business Process Optimization performing a variety of duties to support the Associate Vice President for Research – Technology Transfer and Innovation, and all areas of Tech Transfer. Jodie and her team work together to manage federal compliance obligations under Bayh-Dole, compliance matters associated with non-federal funding agreements, as well as administrative activities related to the processing of invention reporting and patent portfolio administration. She also focuses on business process development & implementation, managing the internal database used in Tech Transfer, including data integrity and reporting efforts.
Prior to joining the University, Jodie worked at the University of Nebraska (NUtech Ventures) tech transfer office as the Patent Paralegal & IT/Web Coordinator, and spent more than a decade working as a Paralegal specializing in estate planning, probate and tax law.
Jodie holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Business Analysis and Management.
