Tech Transfer is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. As a result, Tech Transfer takes an active role in participating and sponsoring networking events, speakers, and business outreach within the Ann Arbor region and throughout the State of Michigan.

Panel Discussion: Driving Innovation in Michigan
Panelists include Kelly Sexton, University of Michigan Tech Transfer, Chris Rizik, Renaissance Venture Capital Fund, Denise Graves, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Richard Chylla, MSU Technologies, Michigan State University, Joan Dunbar, Wayne State University, and Jim Baker, Michigan Technological University.
U-M Venture Accelerator Tour:
Following the panel discussion is the opportunity to tour the University of Michigan Tech Transfer and Venture Center – the hub for all University of Michigan startups, entrepreneurs, and venture firms looking for U-M startup opportunities. The Venture Center offers talent, funding, and other venture creation resources including lab and office space. This is a great opportunity to connect with Michigan’s best innovative early-stage companies.
During the afternoon, UnDemo Day will offer attendees an opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with either investors and/or startups. Select startups will be featured at tables throughout the room for open networking with interested investors.
Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition (AMIC)
AMIC is an international business competition in Southeastern Michigan featuring top tech companies and investment opportunities supported by both the public and private sector.

Ann Arbor New Tech meetup seeks to foster tech entrepreneurship by facilitating communication, providing access to resources, and creating community.
Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship (ACE)

A2Geeks is a non-profit group, which sponsors a series of technology events and provides coordination for tech groups around Ann Arbor.
BioArbor hosts free life science networking events 6 times a year in the greater Ann Arbor area.
