Ryan Waddington has 18 years of investing experience from pre-seed to private equity, during which he led over $100 million worth of investments in more than 30 energy and other technology companies. Ryan joined Arsenal Venture Partners in 2014 and heads their Michigan office. In 2010, he co-founded Huron River Ventures, a leading early-stage venture firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, that invests primarily in enterprise and consumer software companies serving the energy, transportation and agriculture sectors. Previously, Ryan lead investment teams at Ziff Brothers Investments, NextEnergy and DTE Energy. Ryan holds engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin, and earned an MBA with Distinction from the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, where participated in the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. Ryan lives in Dexter, Michigan with his wife, four children and yellow lab, Brady, and is passionate about fly fishing, hockey and University of Michigan football.
