University of Michigan Reports Another Growth Year in Tech Transfer
ANN ARBOR, Mich.
U-M Tech Transfer recorded strong performance results for fiscal year 2008 (FY08). There were 306 new invention discoveries and 91 license agreements, including 13 new business start-ups.
There were 132 new patent applications and 75 issued patents during FY08.
The University received $25 million in total licensing revenues in FY08 compared to $12.8 million in FY07. Approximately half of FY08 revenues was due to unique "paid-up-royalties" from our FluMist agreement.
